I am planning on putting together a couple rememberance rides for the Star Family. Participation would be greatly appreciated by all New England members and if other chapters would like to extend their participation in respective areas it would be even better.

Arrow Arrow We have adopted our POW/MIA/KIA member Lt. Malcome "Art" Avore USS.Oriskany CVA-34, KIA 18 July 1965, (BNR) Body Not Recovered.

On July 18, 2008 we will hold our first annual rem. ride in his honor. Details will follow, with full itinerary. I am also working on getting a commemorative patch and/or pins for those participants that attend. Any and all information or memorabilia you may have on the USS Oriskany the "Mighty O" would be appreciated. I live approx. 20 miles from Lt. Avore' hometown of Hollowell and plan to ride through that area as part of the itinerary. Additional info or suggestions to make this a memorable ride would be appreciated from members.
